TOUR DESCRIPTION:
Our driver picks up
at your accommodation on time and drives direct to Jomblang. The Jomblang cave
is a vertical collapse doline type which was formed by the geological process
when the soil and all vegetations on it plunged beneath the surface of the earth
some thousands of years ago. The collapse created a sinkhole of approximately
50 meters in diameter which became the mouth of the cave. The sinkhole is known
to locals as “Luweng”, thus the cave is also known locally as Luweng Jomblang.
The cave tour typically
takes around 4-5 hours and includes transportation to and from the cave,
equipment rental, and a guide. It is important to note that the cave is only
accessible during the dry season (between May and October) due to safety
concerns during the rainy season Visitors can participate in a Jomblang Cave
tour, which involves rappelling down the 60-meter-deep cave using specialized
equipment and exploring the cave’s interior with a guide. The tour is not
recommended for those with a fear of heights or claustrophobia, and visitors
are advised to wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for outdoor
activities. After finishing cave tour, drop off your hotel.
